It provides a global view of the pelvic region and is frequently used as a first-line exam in gynaecological and urological evaluation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is a Suprapubic Pelvic Ultrasound and what is it for?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A suprapubic pelvic ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to produce real-time images of the organs located in the pelvis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This exam allows detailed assessment of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The uterus and endometrium;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ovaries;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fallopian tubes (when visible);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The urinary bladder;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adjacent pelvic structures.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is widely used to evaluate gynaecological, urological or pelvic symptoms, as well as for clinical follow-up and the detection of structural abnormalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How much does a Suprapubic Pelvic Ultrasound cost?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The price of a suprapubic pelvic ultrasound is <\/span><b>\u20ac50<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on a private basis. A full bladder is required to allow better visualisation of the pelvic organs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After applying a transparent gel to the skin, the doctor gently moves the probe, adjusting the angle and pressure to assess the uterus, ovaries (when visible) and bladder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The images are analysed in real time by an imaging specialist.
